My name is Kamilah.

I am a flower lovin', bicycle ridin', salsa dancin', camera slingin' Duke grad completely obsessed with tiny humans. 

 

I spent my formative years impacting families in a variety of ways.  One of my greatest accomplishments was starting a school with a few amazing colleagues in rural North Carolina. 

 

This was prior to getting married to a SoCal space geek & moving 3000 miles to start a new journey as a wife, mom, and business owner. However, I was fortunate enough to come back to my roots and recently relocated to the great state of North Carolina.

I am an artist fueled by a fascination and passion for love and life with the goal of drawing eyes away from distraction to the beauty in front of us.

 

With photography, I get to make moments stand still & tell the stories of the seemingly insignificant, yet indisputably miraculous in its most precious, timeless, and intricate form - human life. 

​In my work, you will see the absence of distraction and your eyes will be forced to focus on the beauty, the story, the life of the intricately designed, perfectly formed human being right in front of you.
